Unit 2 Lesson 4
In Unit 2 Lesson 4, we learned about spherical geometry and how it's different from and similar to Euclidean geometry. In spherical geometry...
- Lines are know as "great circles" which stretch across the diameter of a sphere Ex: Longitude lines and equator. (lines of latitude don't work because they have a different diameter then of the earth)
- Parallel lines don't exist
- Lines intersect at 2 different points
- Perpendicular lines form 8 right angles
- The sum of the angles in a triangle are between 180° and 540°
